Catholic Health Services contracted Ross Engineering (‘RE’) to improve the existing drainage system using drainage well engineering design for the parking lot area of the elderly facility. Due to the location of the project near Biscayne Bay, Ross Engineering proposed one drainage well to remove storm water runoff from the parking lot area to be injected to the Miami Aquifer to meet the water quantity design criteria for the site. An exfiltration trench and dry retention was proposed to meet Miami-Dade County’s RER 5 year storm event. Other services that our firm provided is bidding review by qualified general contractors and civil engineering construction administration to perform inspections of the design during construction and certify the project upon successful completion of the work.
