MIAMI DRAINAGE FOR MARLINS BASEBALL STADIUM

CLIENTS: Miami Marlins and Atelier Cruz-Diez

LOCATION: Miami, FL

ESTIMATED CIVIL CONSTRUCTION COST: $1,500,000

PROJECT DESCRIPTION SCOPE OF WORK:

Ross Engineering was contracted as the miami engineer for the civil site work associated with the decorative sidewalks and associated drainage design and environmental permitting with the Miami-Dade County RER and the City of Miami building department. ADA improvements were implemented to meet the criterion set out by the US Department of Justice. The decorative tiles were imported from Spain and installed with concrete headers and yard drains were proposed to pickup drainage from the walks to connect to the overall storm water master drainage system. Our city of miami engineer (s) worked very closely with Miami-Dade County RER and City of Miami staff to expedite the environmental and construction permits. Our lead construction manager, Jim Moore, CGC, led the inspection team to ensure the construction of the sidewalks and drainage was constructed in substantial conformance with the civil design plans. Our miami engineer of record, Robert J. Ross, P.E., walked the project with the Miami Marlins and the Contractors hired for the project, IMXGreen International. IMXgreen did an outstanding job constructing the project and expediting the work so that the stadium could open on time.
