CLIENTS: ARCWERKS, INC.
City of Hollywood Florida Fire Dept

LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA

ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $2,500,000

PROJECT DESCRIPTION / ENGINEERING SCOPE OF WORK:

Ross Engineering, Inc. was hired as the fire engineer to design the drainage, water and sanitary sewer for the new union hall. A fire line was brought into the new building for fire sprinkler flow for the building for any fire that may occur. The drainage was designed with a series of interconnected pipes and exfiltration trench overflowing to a retention area. Since there was no existing sanitary sewer around this site, a septic tank and drain field with reserve capacity was designed to collect the sewage from the building. Site permits were obtained through the City of Hollywood, Broward County environmental protection division, Broward County engineering department, Florida department of environmental protection and the Broward County Health Department. For the construction phase of the project our civil engineering inspectors were at the key inspections for the drainage system, water and sewer taps, pavement, rock, marking, stripping and final inspection with the City of Hollywood inspector.
