We are now past the middle of the year at Ross Engineering and moved into the 3rd quarter, and we have several updates to announce on new business, company highlights and ongoing projects. Its been a very busy 2017 for our company thus far and going to get even busier as we move forward executing our business growth plan. In 2018 we plan to break into port engineering at both Port Everglades and Port of Miami amongst other ports in the State of Florida

From the second quarter, we are pleased to announce that we recently negotiated some large contracts with Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer (MDWASD) and Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) as a prime consultant. With Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer we were one of 8 certified small businesses that won small business set-aside engineering design contracts (5th place) for small diameter water and wastewater pipelines for MDWASD’s wastewater and water collection, transmission and distribution system. The $3.3m contract is for 6 years with an optional 2 year extension as necessary. For Broward County Public Schools we were one of 5 professional engineering companies selected (1st place) under their Continuing Consulting contracts for civil engineering and related services. This $3m contract is for 3 years with an option to extend for an additional 2 years.

The company expects to grow exponentially over the next 6-12 months in terms of staff and work load. In addition to government contracts the company’s growth plan is taking shape in other sectors including private utilities, commercial development and residential home builders. In Port Everglades we started on a few new projects for Florida Power and Light for site development, roadway and drainage design. In the Tampa area we have developed a new business relationship with a major home builder and have started working on our first contract and looking to build a long term relationship with this client as we continue to deliver quality engineering drawings in an expedited fashion. In Palm Beach County we have been working with a new developer on some nice commercial and industrial sites and getting projects designed and permitted with the local agencies. In our school board work we continue to work with our Architectural clients in both Miami-Dade and Broward Public Schools on small, medium and large development projects including a 20 acre project in Coral Gables for Miami Palmetto Senior High School for major redevelopment. In Broward we are working on several public schools for multiple clients on Gulfstream academy, Lauderdale Lakes middle school, Castle Hill Elementary School, Park Trails Elementary School, North Fork Elementary School, Taravella High School and others.

In the 2nd quarter we hired two more engineers, one for our Miami office and the other for our main office in Broward County. We want to welcome Mr. Dillon Swiderski and Mr. Rafael Silverios to our growing team of engineers and staff professionals. We are currently seeking engineers for hire on these upcoming government projects and will be advertising for both junior and senior positions.

As we move forward we will update on our new projects and on some of the projects we have under construction as well with photos and more exciting information. Thank you for following Ross Engineering!

Sincerely,

The Ross Engineering Team
